This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

MATCHA, now eight months old, was rescued when she was a baby.
“I got her from the streets while I was driving to work. She literally crossed the street. I got off and took her in, “ says owner Meliton Cruz.
“I bring Matcha to work every now and then. My officemates would buy her treats whenever she is around. She loves riding with me whether it be a near or long drive, “ adds Meliton.
WOLVERINE, now two weeks old, was found in an abandoned house.
“They were three when my sister and I rescued them. I decided to keep Wolverine. His sisters were adopted by friends," owner Toni Yanga shares.
“He has very sharp nails and uses them to climb up my pants up to my chest. He also loves being cuddled and fed with fish,” Toni adds.
“We will have him visit his vet very soon for vaccines, “ Toni says.
