E-sports will be the newest and one of the most exciting category addition to this year’s South East Asian (SEA) Games.  At a recent first-ever bootcamp of its kind, hosted by Razer held in Singapore, the various e-sports athletes from participating countries Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore were given coaching and learning modules by DOTA 2 champion Kanisha “sam BuLba” Sosale in preparation for the SEA Games.  From l-r:  David Tse, Global E-sports Director for Razer; Kanishka “Sam BuLba” Sosale, Coach Evil Geniuses; Ahmad Syazwan Bin Anuar, Head Coach Malaysian National Team; Ben Samarat Assarasakorn, Secretary General for Thailand (TESF) e-sports Federation, Harry Kartono, Advisor for Indonesia e-sports Association (IESPA), Ng Chong Geng, President of Singapore e-sports Association (SEA); and Alvin Juban, co-President of Philippine SEA Games Union (PSEU) and National Team Manager.
