The Gilas Pilipinas team bound for the FIBA World Cup and a whole lot of other basketball stuff make up for an interesting session of the Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum on Tuesday at the Amelie Hotel-Manila.
Coach Yeng Guiao, team captain Gabe Norwood, and newly reinstated Kiefer Ravena will be discussing the national team’s tough campaign in the world meet that officially kicks off this Friday in China.
Team manager Gabby Cui and liaison officer Yvette Ruiz will join the team in the session presented by San Miguel Corp., Braska Restaurant, Amelie Hotel, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.
Also making up the guests’ list are MILO officials and Gilas Pilipinas girls’ team member Ella Fajardo, who will talk about the bronze-medal feat of the Filipinas in the recent FIBA 3×3 U-18 Asia Cup in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
Fajardo, a BEST Center graduate, will be accompanied by MILO Sports Executives Lester Castillo and Luigi Pumaren, and BEST Center founder and chairman Nic Jorge.
Gilas Pilipinas girls’ team coach Patrick Aquino has also been invited in the 10 a.m. session.
PSA members are enjoined to attend the session.
