This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

FLAME, a stray kitten, was rescued during the second leg of the Philippine Canoe Kayak Dragonboat Federation at the Marikina Riverbank on July 7.
“ We saw Flame mingling with the participants, particularly the Dagun Pilipinas Dragonboat Team. With the help of Kuya Recca, we brought the stray kitten to our home in San Andres, Manila and named it Flame,” says Kurie Arguelles.
“From then on, Flame became a part of our family. Gender can not be identified yet according to the veterinarian because Flame is too young. She was only three weeks old when rescued,” Kurie adds.
MYAW MYAW, a sweet three-month-old kitten loves to catch and run after a rat the moment she wakes up, says Aurora Jose.
“My apo Fey Fey loves her so much and Myaw Myaw enjoys being pampered by Fey,” adds Aurora.
“Myaw Myaw is very playful and loves tricking us by crying just to catch our attention. She also loves being hugged and touched especially on the nose,” says Aurora.
Aurora encourages people to adopt animals. “ Animals make us happy and they touch lives in a wonderful way just like how Myaw touched ours.”
