San Beda University marched to its second straight win and kept itself spotless in the lead of the Small Basketeers Philippines competition of the BEST Center’s twin SBP-Passerelle tournaments Sunday at the Xavier gym.
San Beda’s win was at the expense of College of San Benildo-Rizal, 53-52 as it stayed a win ahead of Claret School (1-0), which clobbered La Salle-Zobel White (0-2), 72-19, in Group A.
La Salle-Greenhills also notched its debut victory by thumping San Sebastian College-Recoletos (0-1), 57-35, to tie idle La Salle-Zobel Green on top of Group B of this event sponsored by MILO and supported by Rain or Shine, Chris Sports and SKLZ.
Nazareth School of National University (2-0) demolished Casimiro A. Ynarez Memorial National High School (0-2), 110-22, for the Passerelle lead, tying San Beda (2-0), which tripped La Salle-Greenhills (1-1), 52-43.
La Salle-Zobel (1-1) downed SSC-R (0-2), 50-39, in the last match.
