Malling is more fun in the Philippines

Malls are a huge part of Filipino culture. More than a place for shopping, it’s a destination for leisure—where sale happens on the same day as a food fair, where friends can watch a movie and later have a coffee, where families can choose whether to eat at a restaurant or grab a quick bite at fast food.

With over 70 malls nationwide, the country’s largest shopping mall SM continues to serve as a venue for meaningful family bonding moments, where malling experiences are available for all ages.

To prove that “malling is more fun in the Philippines,” SM Supermalls has teamed up with the Department of Tourism to celebrate the best of the Philippines through a range of fun fairs and fiestas full of fun, food, and festivity.

A series of culinary demos by local celebrities and chefs, regional food fairs, exclusive dining deals, and the SM Supermarket Chefs Showdown will be held at 32 SM Supermalls nationwide.

Local food and lifestyle brands highlighted their products during the launch at SM Megamall.

The iconic Jollibee mascot welcomed guests in a traditional barong Tagalog, while well-known Filipino restaurants joined the fun as they offered their signature dishes like Abe’s adobo with garlic rice and sisig with quail egg; Manilachon’s porchetta or traditional boneless pork roast stuffed with herbs; Sarsa’s kansi panada and isaw; and Zubuchon’s famous lechon Cebu.
