Mariveles opens sophisticated command center

Mariveles, Bataan”•The highly sophisticated P39-million Mariveles Command Center has started operation in this fast-growing industrial town.

The opening of the command center was led by Gov. Abet Garcia and 2nd District Rep. Joet Garcia on Thursday. Outgoing Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion also joined.

“It is the first command center in the Philippines that used the WISENET SSM 2.1 Version of Korean company Samsung, and this system can use 10,000 radio channels,” said Bataan provincial information officer Angel Ortiz Luis.

“It uses the latest PTZ camera with 37 times optical zooming, the first in the Philippines,” she added. “Its Fixed Bullet camera can calculate the water level in HD video and motion detection.”

All cameras are HD with 14-kilometers fiber optic cables installed, and [data] storage can last 1 to 2 months,” she said.

Seventy cameras are installed in lower Mariveles alone, Ortiz Luis said.

Gov. Garcia pushed for the state-of-the-art command center in this town for efficient peace and order monitoring as well as fast response to emergencies.

The Freeport Area of Bataan economic zone is also located here.
