The Premier Volleyball League is back on ABS-CBN S+A for its third season beginning with the Reinforced Conference featuring new and retooled teams this Sunday (May 26). Watch the live coverage of the opening matches starting at 2 pm on S+A, S+A HD, LIGA, LIGA HD, and via streaming on iWant Sports.
Volleyball fans can expect an all-out battle right away with newcomer PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers, a veteran squad bannered by star utility spiker Jovelyn Gonzaga, tries to make a statement against the young but talented BaliPure Purest Water Defenders led by NCAA standout Katrina Racelis in the first match.
Meanwhile, Alyssa Valdez’s powerhouse squad Creamline Cool Smashers, the 2018 Reinforced Conference champion, opens their title retention bid at 4 pm against Stephanie Mercado’s PetroGazz Angels, which will parade added weapons in Jeanette Panaga and Cai Nepomuceno-Baloaloa.
Apart from PacificTown-Army, another team debuting this season in the PVL is Motolite headlined by former PVL MVP Myla Pablo and former UP Lady Maroons Isa Molde and Tots Carlos. BanKo Perlas Spikers, meanwhile, will fight for another crack at the title on its third year behind Nicole Tiamzon and Dzi Gervacio.
Kuttika Kaewpin of Thailand is making a comeback as Creamline’s reinforcement along with Venezuelan Aleoscar Blanco. The other notable reinforcements coming to town are BanKo Perlas’ Lakia Bright and Yasemin Sahin Yildirim of Turkey; Danijela Dzakovic of Montenegro and Slovakian Alexandra Vajdova for BaliPure; Gyselle Silva of Cuba and Edina Selimovic of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Motolite, Wilma Salas of Cuba and American Janisa Johnson for PetroGazz; and lastly, the pair of Olena Lymareva-Flink and Jenelle Jordan for PacificTown-Army.
