Tagaytay-based Anya Resort is hosting a one-day workshop advocating self-care and mindful living on May 18.
The “Live Mindfully, an Inner Journey at Anya Resort” will begin with Grow Your Food With Love wherein participants will be taught by Mario and Olive Medina from Lorenzo Sanctuary how to prepare organic potting soil, natural fertilizer, and compost as well as create simple but delicious meals that are good for the body and for Mother Earth.
The workshop will take place in Anya Resort’s herb garden where fresh ingredients and delicious produce will be used for the light and healthy lunch to be served after the class such as fresh garden salad, healthy smoothies, and refreshing herbal iced teas.
Guests will then greet the afternoon with Yu Hezu Bamboo Wand, during which teacher Mawi Fojas de Ocampo will guide the class through a series of gentle and low impact movements. When done regularly, the practice is said to delay the aging process and prolong life while alleviating stress and anxiety caused by daily hustle. Combined with meditation, it reacquaints one with the joy of slow and purposeful movement and the beauty of being fully present in the moment.
The afternoon ends with sunset meditation at Anya’s Tala Lounge. An array of delicious healthy tapas and mocktails await guests after the workshop.
The one-day workshop starts at 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Those who prefer to stay overnight can take advantage of special suite rates being extended to workshop guests. Contact Mawi Fojas de Ocampo at 0917-701-7593 for inquiries and reservations.
