Acting like the doting mother that she is, House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on Thursday accompanied her son, Mikey Arroyo, in a house-to-house campaign in San Nicolas Village in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
The young Arroyo is running for congressman in the Second District of Pampanga in a bid to replace his mother, who is on her last term in Congress.
Earlier in the day, Arroyo joined Hugpong ng Pagbabago senatorial candidate Christopher “Bong” Go in a visit to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority at the Angeles Industrial Park in Angeles City, where about 15,000 employees greeted them.
The thousands of employees of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority at the Angeles Industrial Park mobbed Arroyo.
Upon their arrival, Mrs. Arroyo was warmly welcomed by the Aeta workers of locator Superl Philippines Inc.
While touring the industrial park, Mrs. Arroyo took the opportunity to endorse the candidacy of HNP senatorial candidates Go, Francis Tolentino, Ramon Revilla Jr., and Cynthia Villar.
Joining Speaker Arroyo and Go were Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda, her son gubernatorial candidate Dennis Pineda and officials of Superl Philippines.
