Artist-Pars Association Inc. has long been engaged with teachers’ trainings through National Trainings for SPA Teachers from 2012 to 2016 while the ARTIST Inc. has been launching annually the Malikhaing Guro International Conference on Culture-based Education.

International conferences and national trainings are initiated to gather cultural educators, pedagogues, arts practitioners, and cultural workers from across the country and abroad in order to surface various practices, emerging perspectives, and challenges to the different modalities and contexts of culture-based education.

“Likmuan” is a Tagalog word for a chair. In this event, the teacher-participants will develop ICH-based learning resources through a week-long writeshop.

Its purpose is to institutionalize and intensify the intangible heritage conservation plan through continuing professional education, research and dissemination, production of learning resources and lesson exemplars, and media-based documentation program in intangible cultural heritage education.
