Filipinos love to party, and we love it more when the celebration has significance. Several parties are happening around the metro today in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.
Often mistaken as Mexico’s Independence Day, Cinco de Mayo represents a pivotal moment in the country’s fight for independence. On May 5, 1862, Ignacio Zaragoza led the Mexican army to a successful defense against the French Empire.
Today, Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in virtually every corner of the world. Revelers mark the occasion with parades, parties, music, folk dancing, traditional food, and of course, tequila.
Grab the gang as leading tequila brand Jose Cuervo is hosting street parties in Poblacion, Makati (select partner bars in Don Pedro and Alfonso Streets), Katipunan, Quezon City (Pop-up), and Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (The Island).
Partygoers can enjoy five shots of Jose Cuervo tequila at partner bars for P300.
