TINGOG first nominee Yedda Marie Kittilstvedt Romualdez on Wednesday thanked local leaders, various organizations and individuals supporting her party-list group in the coming midterm poll.
Romualdez, chairperson of the House committee on accounts and Leyte’s first district congresswoman, said the support is a huge boost in their quest to get wider representation in the incoming 18th Congress for less fortunate people.
She expressed gratitude to all their supporters in the countryside, assuring them that they will not “waste the trust and confidence given to them.”
“This is another inspiring moment to our campaign, another huge boost. We will not fail our supporters and we will show that we are worthy of their support. Thank you,” said Romualdez, who vowed to pursue regional development to uplift Eastern Visayas from poverty, intensify investments in infrastructure support especially in rural communities, and others.
Recently, reelectionist Eastern Samar Gov. Marcelo Dindo together with more than 100-strong sectoral leaders pledged their support to Tingog during a campaign sortie at the City of Borongan in Eastern Samar attended by Romualdez, second nominee Jude Acidre and third nominee Boy Go.
Picardal and Romualdez shared the same vision in establishing Samar Island Regional Medical Center in Eastern Samar.
Liloan Mayor Christina Frasco, one of the most outstanding Cebu mayors, expressed support to Tingog after Romualdez paid a courtesy call.
Romualdez with Cebu’s 6th district congressional candidate Lolypop Ouano also wooed the support of more than 300 barangay officials of the 6th district of Cebu during the meet and greet and campaign sortie at Ouano Compound in Mandaue City Cebu.
Ouano and his brother Board Member Jonkie Ouano together with barangay officials pledged support for Tingog.
Popular television host and actress Karla Estrada said she’s never been into politics, but this time she took exemption and joined fellow celebrity star Boy Abunda to make a political stand for the sake of the development in Eastern Visayas Tingog got a big boost also after popular television host and actress.
