Infrastructure conglomerate Megawide Construction Corporation is exhibiting four of the company’s first-world engineering technologies: precast, concrete batching, formworks, and construction equipment and logistics services (CELS), at the ongoing Philconstruct Luzon Expo.
The construction show, which ends today, is being held at the ASEAN convention center in the Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. Megawide predominantly uses Japanese and European technologies. Its precast plant, which uses Japanese technology, remains one of the most advanced of its kind in South East Asia.
Megawide also introduced the use of glued-laminated (glulam) timber from Austria for the iconic roof structure of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA). MCIA is the first Asian airport to have a full roof structure made out of glulam timber.
