OWNDAYS is always looking for ways to give back to society. In 2011, they started giving out glasses to those in need through Eye Camp. OWNDAYS has again marked another milestone by embarking on a noble campaign called Cases For Change that partners with non-profit organizations supporting causes they believe in. As an eyewear retailer, OWNDAYS aims to make the world look more beautiful. With that goal in mind, OWNDAYS created Cases For Change and partnered with Philippine Animal Welfare Society, World Wide Fund For Nature Philippines and World Vision Philippines to create three uniquely designed eyewear cases.
"At Cases For Change, our goal is to give back to society by allowing our customers to support their causes. We have chosen these non-profit organizations to help them promote animal welfare, environmental protection and child empowerment. We're aiming to raise up to a million Pesos for each of them," says Vohne Yao, Managing Director of OWNDAYS Philippines.
"Cases For Change is quite a simple concept. When you buy a collaboration case, 100% of sales will go to the non-profit organization so they can do what they do best: make the world look more beautiful. World Vision Philippines is concerned with the overall well-being of Filipino children. "This year, we're focusing on digital education. We are hoping that as we all work together and support Cases For Change, we are able to make Filipino communities and our society look more beautiful," says Jun Godornes, Resource Development Director.
"Our environmental efforts are furthered and we make sure that present and future generations get to see and experience the beauty that the world has to offer," says Dan Ramirez, Communications and Media Manager. Cases For Change will help contribute to the conservation initiatives and projects of the World Wide Fund For Nature Philippines.
An average of about 200 dogs and cats per month are put down or euthanized in city pounds everywhere. "Our advocacy is actually to prevent them from being rescued in the first place by making people aware of how they should be responsible pet owners, We hope you have some time to come over and show your support for PAWS to help us make a better change for the animals," says Anna Hashim-Cabrera, Executive Director.
Not only will Cases For Change help raise much-needed funds for the non-profit organizations, but it will allow OWNDAYS customers to carry the collaboration cases with them, helping us create awareness around their causes. Each of the collaboration cases will be sold at PHP 250 with every purchase of prescription glasses and at PHP 500 if no purchase is made. Collaboration cases are available at all OWNDAYS stores nationwide starting April 1, 2019.
