Mislatel Consortium of Davao City-based businessman Dennis Uy and China Telecom has moved its planned commercial operations to early 2021 from the original target of late 2020 due to delay in the resolution of its Congressional franchise.
“With the delay in the resolution of its franchise, Mislatel’s planned start of commercial operations has been moved further to early 2021 from the initial expected commencement date of late 2020, under the consideration that its CPCN will be awarded by March,” Chelsea Logistics Holdings Corp. said.
The company, however, said the timetable for the roll-out was still late 2020.
DICT acting Secretary Eliseo Rio Jr. earlier said agency was awaiting Congress to resolve Mislatel’s Congressional franchise.
The Senate adopted a resolution approving the transfer, sale or assignment of the controlling interest of Mindanao Islamic Telephone Co. to Uy’s Udenna Corp., Chelsea Holdings Corp. and state-run China Telecommunications Corp.
