Guhit Pinas-Navotas recently chose the Navotas Bahay Pag-asa to be the recipient of its first ever art exhibit for a cause.
The exhibit, which is being held at the Navotas City Hall lobby, features works of 20 local artists, including Councilor Ethel Joy Arriola-Mejia.
It seeks to raise funds to provide children in conflict with the law staying at Bahay Pag-asa with art materials and learning sessions.
Mayor John Rey Tiangco expressed appreciation to Guhit Pinas-Navotas for undertaking a noble cause.
“This project serves to inspire us in the city government to continue supporting our local artists. We hope you will continue to bless others with the beauty of your creations,” he said.
The city government currently supports the schooling of 19 art scholars. For those interested to purchase any of the artworks, please contact Catrina Fernandez at 281-8531 local 106.
