House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has brought to her district in Pampanga several of the most competent and qualified candidates and groups running in the midterm poll led by Tingog Party-list first nominee Leyte Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez to present their platform of governance.
“I am here to give the most competent and most qualified candidates exposure to present their plans and platform of governance to enable Kapampangans to vote wisely,” Arroyo said.
The Speaker recently hosted a caucus of Hugpong ng Pagbabago candidates in Manibaug Paralaya, Porac.
She was joined there by Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, a senatorial bet, and Cavite Vice Gov. Bryan Revilla representing his father Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.
Romualdez thanked the Speaker for “inviting Tingog to present our platforms of governance to the people there, including Waray residents in Pampanga.”
She delivered her “malasakit” (compassionate) message to over 1,000 underprivileged residents at the caucus.
She met with Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo along with the community leaders representing Eastern Visayans living in Mabalacat City.
She lauded the Cabalens’ support for the Tingog Party-list.
Romualdez’s mother-in-law—the mother of former Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez—Juliette Gomez-Romualdez—is a native of Mabalacat.
If elected in the May 13 elections, Tingog said it would push for the legislative agenda focusing on regional development to uplift Eastern Visayas from poverty, intensify investments in infrastructure support, and for the capacity of the government to prepare, manage, and respond to natural disasters through the creation of the Department of Disaster Resilience.
