Janggo and Kiray: Doggo earth angels

Dogs are indeed God’s angels on earth.

Two of the rescued dogs of animal welfare group Save Animals of Love and Light (Save ALL) continue to send love  to  rescued animals and the organization long after their adoption.

Through them, donations poured in for Save ALL and its rescues this holiday season.

Janggo and Kiray, adopted in February this year, were so sweet and loving to Save ALL officers and caretakers while they were still in the home for rescues. Today, they are still making Save ALL and the rescues feel their love through their adopters Rhea and Job Abat who helped get donations the group sorely needs.

A number of students of the Beacon School donated items  that the group seldom receives but spends a lot on. Thus, the donations are such a big help.

Janggo and Kiray  were former strays who were rescued more than two years ago in Marikina before the pound catchers could get them. They eluded the pound catchers three times, reporter Chaermayne Biag said.

Though elusive, Save ALL rescuer Loribert Sobrio Bersabe was able to get them and bring them to the clinic where they were tested and treated for  bacterial infection and low blood count by Dr. Anthony Prado Basa.

They were given all the love and best care Save ALL can give to any rescue, and Janggo and Kiray loved the humans and other rescues back.

It is amazing that they are still returning the love to this day.

Thanks to  the Abat family of Janggo and Kiray, Save ALL received much-needed items like cotton for wiping  eyes of dogs with eye discharge due to old age and other uses, betadine, towels, alcohol, anti-fungal soaps, dishwashing liquid and paste, and other cleaning materials.

These items cost a lot as most are used on a daily basis and Save ALL has no funding from any local or foreign agency. It is always  juggling funds (using  even personal funds of its officers) to ensure these items are available.

To Save ALL, proper care  of dogs and cats means  giving the best (and allowed) food one can afford, supplements to keep their immune system strong, keeping them clean and groomed, and providing a clean environment.

Save ALL aims to always provide quality care to all rescues which includes talking to them, playing with them, kissing and hugging them, and bringing them out on walks and car rides for their mental and emotional health.

Save ALL is thus grateful to Rhea and Job for helping continue to provide quality care to the rescues through the Giving Tree of the Beacon School.

Rhea shared: “The Giving Tree is a project that The Beacon School has every year. It aims to support various beneficiaries (non-government organizations) by providing donations in kind.”

“A christmas tree is placed in the school's lobby. Ornaments on the tree contain the names of the beneficiaries along with a list of the things/materials/equipment that they need. Parents, students, teachers and staff may get an ornament and acquire the things that the beneficiaries need,” Rhea said.

“This year, I presented Save ALL to the committee as one of the beneficiaries. Save ALL is very dear to my family. Apart from adopting our furbabies Janggo and Kiray from there, we wholeheartedly support Save ALL's cause of fighting for animal rights and welfare. I am very grateful that the school committee approved Save ALL as one of the beneficiaries. I am also grateful to the parents, students and teachers who sent in their donations,” Rhea added.

The Beacon School for  Pre-K to Grade 8 “provides students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of Filipino culture and heritage, as they actively engage in a high quality, inquiry-based program of study that fosters an awareness of complex global issues and the skills needed to address them.”

Happy and grateful are not sufficient to describe how the Save ALL officers felt  when the gifts arrived. The officers felt the love energy that is wrapped  around each gift for the  rescued dogs and cats

Save ALL is also amazed at how a rescued dog  (or two rescued dogs in this case) gives back through their furparents. The group is now more inspired to help more animals in need knowing two dogs found a  good, loving family and are living THE life, and through their furparents,  have inspired others to help animals in need.

Save ALL also admire the Beacon School and its students for their compassion and generosity for those less fortunate. I personally hope others will follow their example.

Bless you Janggo, Kiray, furparents Rhea and Job Abat, the Beacon school, and the many students and parents who donated to Save ALL abundantly in  healing, loving, magical, and triumphant ways always!

Namaste! I salute the Divine in you all.
