Cauayan City, Isabela—Philippine Foundation for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Inc. has recognized SM City Cauayan as “Disabled Friendly Establishment of the Year” Bronze awardee.
Kristal Gayle Agbulig, SM Cauayan information officer, said the award was given during the recent 29th Apolinario Mabini Awards ceremony at Club Filipino, San Juan City.
Agbulig said SM City has been compliant with Batas Pambansa 344, which aims to enhance the mobility of disabled persons by requiring certain buildings, institutions, establishments, and public utilities to install facilities and other devices.
SM Prime Holdings, Inc. also bagged numerous awards for its other malls and department stores.
Other Bronze awardees for “Disabled-Friendly Establishment of the Year” were SM City Cabanatuan, SM City Clark, SM BF Paranaque, SM City Sucat, The SM Store Cabanatuan, The SM San Store Jose Del Monte, SM East Ortigas, The SM Store Trece Martires, and SM Seaside Cebu Supermarket.
