WWE Superstar and New Day member Xavier Woods dazzled fans as he returned to the country for a fan meet-and-greet at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay recently.
Aside from being a part of New Day, which boasts of the longest WWE Tag Team championship reign, Woods also shines in the academic department with two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and philosophy, a master’s in psychology and a current trajectory for his Ph.D. in educational psychology.
The 5’11’’ Woods from Atlanta was recently awarded with a Guinness World Record for the “Most Subscribed To Celebrity Video Game Channel,” with his Youtube gaming channel UpUpDownDown featuring other WWE superstars such as fellow New Day members Big E and Kofi Kingston, Sasha Banks, Tyler Breeze, Bayley and referees playing games and challenges from the gaming community.
“Once I’m done wrestling I feel like I have to transition to something else,” said Woods. “I, throughout my life, always wanted to do wrestling and I also wanted to make video games, which are a huge part of my life. They always have and they always will be.”
New Day, which is comprised of Woods and his teammates Big E and Kofi Kingston, has won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship twice and the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship three times now.
Woods was also recently nominated as Fan Favorite Celebrity Gamer (Athlete) in the first-ever Gamers’ Choice Awards.
