MRT 3 passengers had to endure another inconvenience when its northbound train was forced to unload 650 riders due to a technical problem.
In an advisory, the MRT 3 management said the train offloaded an approximately 650 pasasengers at Buendia station due to electrical failure in the train’s motor at 1:10 p.m.
“Passengers were loaded in the next train which arrived 6 minutes later,” it said.
“We apologize for the inconvenience,” it added.
The MRT 3 management said the electrical failure may have been caused by worn-out electrical sub-components.
It added that preventive maintenance and replacement of electrical components were implemented as remedial measures.
