Some 300 officers and leaders of Tapang at Malasakit DDS Europe from 11 countries are expected to attend the event, dubbed ‘Global PCR Launching, Meet & Greet’ at 6 pm on Nov. 2 at COo COo Bar and Restaurant, 395 Cascina Gobba in Milan, Italy.

Former PNP and Bureau of Corrections chief Ronald dela Rosa and other PNP officials, led by Global PCR head PCSupt. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, will grace the event.

DDS Global president Gemma Sotto, AKO OFW headed by founding chairman Dok Chie Umandap, and national president Marcia Sadicon, have organized Europe’s Global PCR launching.

Dela Rosa will deliver a speech and will be interviewed one-on-one by Sotto, also head of Global PCR International, during the “Meet & Greet” portion of the launching. Sermonia will give updates on the government’s plans and programs.

Global PCR aims to create a platform of support and cooperation between the government and various organizations of Filipino communities abroad.

It serves as venue to explain the plans and programs of President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration to the overseas Filipino workers, while assuring them of government protection for their relatives in the Philippines.

A 24/7 Global PCR Portal using the Internet and social media can be used by the OFWs to communicate with their relatives back home through OFW desks that will be set up in every barangay of the country.

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Deputy Administrator Arnell Ignacio has also been invited to attend the first launching of Global PCR in Europe.

Recently, the PNP launched its Global PCR in Los Angeles and San Francisco in California.

In his previous foreign trips, President Duterte has repeatedly assured the OFWs that his government would continue the relentless fight against illegal drugs, criminality and corruption.

The Chief Executive gained overwhelming support from the OFWs in the 2016 presidential elections.
