“NBA On ABS-CBN” blasts off on free-to-air television this Wednesday live on S+A at 8 a.m. as Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers take on a rejuvenated Boston Celtics squad that is welcoming back All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, who has fully recovered from suffering a freak ankle injury in last season’s opener.

Meanwhile, Filipino fans of the Los Angeles Lakers are teeming with excitement as they get to witness 2018’s biggest offseason signing suit up for the Purple and Gold: LeBron James. The King, along with youngsters Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Kyle Kuzma look to deliver on all the offseason hype as they go up against the Portland Trailblazers bannered by crack guards Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum on Friday (Oct. 19) live at 10:30 a.m.

The Boston Celtics return on ABS-CBN and S+A over the weekend as they take on the Toronto Raptors and the New York Knicks, respectively. Irving’s crew will get a taste of how the Raptors play with new superstar in the six, Kawhi Leonard, on Saturday (Oct. 20) at 8:30 a.m. on “NBA SabaDos” on ABS-CBN. The Celtics then travel to the Mecca of basketball, Madison Square Garden, to face the rebuilding Knicks and see if ninth overall pick Kevin Knox is the real deal the following day (Oct. 21), live at 7:30 a.m. on S+A.

On Monday, NBA fans in the country finally see the Western Conference finalists Houston Rockets go up against the Los Angeles Clippers live at 9 a.m. on S+A. The Clippers will rely on forward Tobias Harris in going up against All-Stars James Harden and Chris Paul who will continue to anchor the team along with blossoming big man Clint Capela.

All eyes, however, will be on the most intriguing addition of the team – 10-time All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony, a midrange specialist who is joining a team that is one of the league-leaders in three point shots made and attempted last season.
