Property developer Century Properties Group said it has pre-sold P2 billion worth of vacation homes in Batulao Artscapes, its first residential tourism project in Nasugbu, Batangas.
Century Properties said in a disclosure to the stock exchange it sold 342 units since the launching of Batulao Artsacpes in December 2017.
Tim Hallett, head of Century Properties’ leisure, tourism and hospitality division, said the project attracted local end users seeking a weekend retreat, as well as families and active retirees looking for secondary homes not too far from Metro Manila but surrounded by nature and a cooler climate.
“This community is the first of its kind in the market. We are excited to bring something that combines art, nature and adventure into this beautiful out-of-town property. We are optimistic of the market’s continuous positive response to the project given the expanding middle class and surge of domestic tourism in the Philippines,” he said.
Batulao Artscapes, which is within the first 36 hectares of the 142-hectare development, plans to offer 2,000 vacation homes with combined sales value of P19 billion.
Home prices range from P4 million for a 56-square-meter unit at the Cluster Village to the larger homes at the Curated Village, which start at P17.4 million with their own private pool and guest home.
Land development and home construction are in progress on site, with the first batch of homes scheduled for completion in early 2019.
Batulao Artscapes features designer homes by the global proptech firm Revolution Precrafted with notable Filipino and international names, like Ed Calma, Kenneth Cobonpue, Budji Layug and Royal Pineda, Daphne Guiness, David Salle + AA Studio, and Studio Libeskind Design.
Envisioned as a tourist destination, the 142-hectare site will include designer villages, a retirement village, hotel, museums and and sports and leisure facilities.
