The Walking Dead. The ninth promises a whole new ball game, especially with the Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes exiting midway in the season. While this may be a huge shock to fans who have been following the post-zombie apocalypse drama since the beginning, it could also mean new storylines from other characters’ perspectives will arise. (Releases on Oct. 7 at 11: 30 a.m.)
American Horror Story: Apocalypse. Season 8 of the groundbreaking horror series is set in the future, “18 months from today,” as creator Ryan Murphy said in April this year. There have been a lot of rumors that have built up about this season, but for sure, fans can look forward to seeing their favorite actors come back to play a part in the horror story. Modern Family. The 10th season has teased that there will be a death of a “significant character”, and it has its fans in a panic as speculations abound on who it will be. Fresh Off the Boat. The only running sitcom to star an Asian-American family is still going strong. Season 5 will see a new Asian-American family moving into the neighborhood featuring Ming-Na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as the matriarch of the family. (Releases on Oct. 6 at 12:00 nn)
The Resident and The Good Doctor. The two medical dramas are returning for their second season as well. The Resident peels back the curtain and reveals what happens behind-the-scenes in a hospital, be it good or bad. (New episodes every Tuesday at 12:00 nn). Meanwhile, in The Good Doctor, Freddie Highmore returns as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a brilliant surgeon with autism for a second season after a record-breaking freshman year. 9-1-1. The hit procedural drama starring Angela Basset as patrol sergeant Athena Grant, follows the lives of Los Angeles first responders—the police, paramedics, firefighters and dispatchers—as they face various kinds of emergencies. The season 2 trailer teases a huge earthquake that will set off a series of emergencies for the first responders to face. (New episodes every Monday at 12:00 nn)
The Gifted. Based on Marvel Comics X-Men universe, is back for its second season as the stakes are raised and more is revealed about the 7/15 incident that led to the anti-mutant policy and sentiment. Expect new characters as the world gets bigger for the mutants. (New episodes every Wednesday at 12:00 nn)
