Pet parents had a chance to showcase the cuteness of their furbabies at a recent pet costume party at the SMX Convention Center.
Dog and cat owners dressed their pets in preppy and geeky school-inspired outfits for the Pet Express Campus Cuties: A Pet Costume Party, one of the events of the Pet Express Dog and Cat Expo 2018, staged in partnership with CARA Welfare Philippines.
There were teacher dogs and cats; feline school nurses; as well as lab professor and cheerleader dogs at the costume party. Pets dressed as anime students and varsity dogs were crowd favorites.
The expo also featured a new segment PET X TALKS, wherein a series of fun and dog training talks were featured.
Actor and model Daniel Matsunaga shared his daily “pawsome” fun experiences with his Alaskan Malamute Julie. Gen Reyes, the first female recruit of renowned dog whisperer Cesar Millan, gave some tips on Canine Counseling; while BetterDog Philippines Jojo Isorena started his first C.L.A.S.S. (Canine Life and Social Skills) using Ezydogs gears and toys.
Booths of top pet food brands like Alpo, Pedigree, Friskies, Acana, Good Boy, and Royal Canin; as well as health products like Nature’s Protection, Vitality, Virbac, and Vitakraft were also present. Pawsh Couture and Oodra Pooch Couture featured a lot of pet fashion fun, while Ezydog, Wags n’ Whiskers, and Acuaverde drew a lot of interest among pet parents.
The Dog and Cat Expo was also an event for a cause, as donation was given to CARA for every participant who took their best scholarly selfie with their pet and uploaded it on Facebook and Instagram using #dogandcatEXPO2018forCARA.
