As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, the PTT Run for Clean Energy Year 2 is allotting a portion of its proceeds for the environmental programs of the PTT Philippines Foundation.
This was announced by Vittaya Viboonterawud, Director for Commercial Fuel and Lubricants, PTT Philippines and Piyapoom Seechang, Business Development Executive, PTT Philippines during their guesting at the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum at the Tapa King Restaurant in Cubao, where they promoted their advocacy run set on Sept. 16 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Grounds.
“PTT plays an active role in the community and has been an advocate of efforts to preserve the environment. For years, we conduct mangrove planting and do livelihood assistance program thru shrimps and crabs dispersal as part of our community development program and environmental advocacies,” said Viboonterawud. “We’re glad that we can continue these advocacies with the boost from the Run for Clean Energy.”
Registration for the run is ongoing until Sept. 13 at Chris Sports Outlets at SM Manila, SM Mall of Asia and SM North Edsa. Onsite registration is also available an hour before the race categories. A mini concert will be provided by the Lester Llansang-fronted Cahlio band and up-and-coming Dotty Chan, who will also play a couple of songs at the Wish Bus situated near the stage.
Race categories are 10k (P520), 5k (P420) and 3k (P320), all inclusive of race shirt, race bib and giveaways. Top three male and female runners of the 10k and 5k will get cash prizes and medals.
