GMA Artist Center star Kevin Sagra tackles a challenging role in the 2018 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival entry School Service.
For his big screen debut, Kevin plays the role of a school service driver whose vehicle is used by the syndicate to transport illegal substance.
The former Starstruck finalist acts alongside award-winning comedienne AiAi Delas Alas, multi-awarded actress Therese Malvar and respected director Joel Lamangan whose character is Kevin’s lover in the movie. The film is directed by Louie Ignacio.
“It’s challenging because it’s my first movie. I felt pressured during our shoot because I was having a scene with AiAi and Direk Joel. Who wouldn’t feel that way?” the One Up member said.
Kevin revealed he worked really hard in order to bag this role, “I went through numerous process, may mga go-sees, script reading, lahat. I think they saw my guestings on several Kapuso shows where I played the bad guy. Doon nila nakita na fit ako sa role na ito.”
Meanwhile, as part of GMA Network’s promising boy band One Up, the actor-singer invites their fans and supporters to join them in their first major concert entitled All in One Up happening on Aug. 24 at SM Skydome in Quezon City.
