Japan opens its doors wider for Filipinos as the Japanese embassy announced Wednesday the relaxation of visa requirements for Philippine passport holders beginning this month.
The embassy said in a statement the number of applicants eligible for multiple entry visas for short-term stay with business purpose and cultural and intellectual figures will be expanded.
In addition, the validity period of visas will be extended from five years to 10 years maximum.
The relaxation of visa is based on the “Tourism Vision Realization Program 2018.”
“The abovementioned relaxation of visa requirements is expected to contribute to improvement of convenience for tourists and increase in repeat visitors, as well as further advancement of people-to-people exchanges between Japan and the Republic of the Philippines,” said the Japanese Embassy.
