From thousands of auditionees, who graced the nationwide search for the next solo singing superstar, GMA 7’s The Clash finally narrows down the list to the Top 62 Clashers who will compete in intense one-on-one battles in the network’s much awaited singing competition.
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid expressed her excitement for the commencement of the program since it will showcase the talent and star power of the aspirants who were meticulously selected from all around the country.
“We have a good set of singers na maglalaban-laban. I’m sure na sa una, kakalabanin talaga ng mga singers na ito yung sarili nila kasi siyempre, kakabahan sila. But ako, my only advice to them is to use this nervousness to empower them,” she said.
The Top 62 clashers who will compete for the judges votes throughout the competition are the following:
Hopefuls from Metro Manila are Anthony Rosaldo, Chin Valdes, Darryl Jiandani, Dior Bronia, Henry Abode, Jordan Abina, Joselito Casimiro, Miguel Aguila, Niña Espinosa, Noel Eneria, Nolo Lopez, Princess Culala, Psalms David, and Tristan Perfecto.
Meanwhile, aspirants Alliyah Cadeliña, Angela Noveno, Bea Sacramento, George Estepa, Rain Tirol, Ron Michael Tumaneng, and Samantha Aganon represent Northern Luzon.
The show also introduces Angel Lapuz, Anne Raz, Bryan Chong, Fatima Espiritu, Garrett Bolden, Melbelline Caluag, Mirriam Manalo, Regielyn Fernandez, RJ Buena, Robert Cozma, and Ruth Gomez from Central Luzon.
Ace Yabut, Frederick Gallaron, JL Toreliza, Kim Flores, Patricia Hernandez, Willy Cordovales, and Zyra San Diego are hailed as Southern Luzon candidates.
From Visayas are Abegail Sellote, Angel Paylado, Angel Pielago, Danielle Ozaraga, Esterlina Olmedo, Golden Cañedo, Joana Sy, Kyryll Ugdiman, and Sixto Tolitol.
On the other hand, contestants from Mindanao are Ace Tenajora, C-Jay Garcia, Charline Fiel, Chemp Raña, Dom Alviola, Jong Madaliday, Josh Adornado, Lowell Jumalon, Lyra Micolob, and Muriel Lomadilla.
Lastly, four international challengers named Cleo Lagunilla, Jasmine Fitzgerald, Mika Gorospe, and Rachel Bergado also have the chance to be hailed as the first The Clash champion.
The Clash’s screening panel composed of iconic OPM songwriter Vehnee Saturno, singer-composer and record producer Jay Durias, and director Bert de Leon helped Regine in the nationwide search.
The Clash is under the helm of director Louie Ignacio.
