Two Filipino students graduated with the highest honors from two prestigious universities in the US this year.
Lara Andrea Montales, 21, graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, major in finance and business analytics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Montales finished elementary at the Colegio San Agustin-Makati, where she graduated valedictorian. She also received high honors upon graduating from the Philippine Science High School.
Meanwhile, Janelle Micaela Panganiban graduated summa cum laude from the New York University with majors in global public health, public policy, and sociology.
The Immaculate Conception Academy in Greenhills alumnus also received the Alexander L. Shluger award for excellence in sociology as well as the Founder’s Day award.
Both Montales and Panganiban were consistent Dean’s Listers.
