Grid operator National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has issued a yellow alert for the Luzon power grid for two hours on Wednesday, the second consecutive yellow alert this week.
NGCP also announced a yellow alert for the Luzon grid on Tuesday due to thin reserves following high demand and plant outage.

“Luzon grid is on yellow alert due to the unexpected shutdown and limited generation of some power plants, and high power demand,” NGCP said.
NGCP declared the Luzon grid on yellow alert from 1 to 3 pm, May 30, 2018. Available capacity was placed at 11,764 MW versus peak demand of 10,891 MW.
