GMA Network Inc. kept its strong nationwide ratings in April compared with those of rival ABS-CBN Corp. based on the latest data from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
GMA, which airs on Channel 7 on free TV, registered an average of 39.7 percent total day people audience share in the National Urban Television Audience Measurement for the full month of April, ahead of ABS-CBN’s 38.6 percent.
The broadcasting network dominated NUTAM’s morning block with a people audience share of 37.9 percent, beating ABS-CBN’s 33.4 percent.
GMA also led in the afternoon block with 41.6 percent against its rival’s 37.8 percent.
GMA, meanwhile, reigned supreme across all day parts in the viewer-rich areas of Urban Luzon and Mega Manila, which respectively account for 72 and 59 percent of all urban viewers in the country.
It maintained a double-digit margin in Urban Luzon with an average total day people audience share of 44.2 percent versus the competition’s 33.2 percent.
