LA Santos tonight at Music Museum

There’s a new pop idol in town and he is taking center stage via a major solo concert happening at 8:00 o’clock tonight at the Music Museum. The show is called #Petmalu.

The star of the concert is LA Santos, an 18-year-old Star Music recording artist. He used to appear as guest performer in various concerts, but now, he is taking this big opportunity to introduce his brand of music to a wider audience.

“I’m both nervous and excited since this is my first major solo concert, hindi po siguro talaga mawawala iyon. Pero siguro po ay normal lang na makaramdam ng ganoon talaga,” the teen singer said during a press conference held last week.

The Grade 11 student (at University of Sto. Tomas) who cites Francis M as his big influence in music said that the show will be exciting not only because of the production numbers they prepared for the concertgoers but also because of the big names he is sharing the stage with. He is having Jaya, Ian Veneracion, Jona, Michael Pangilinan, Imelda Papin, Claire dela Fuente, Eva Eugenio, Boobsie Wonderland, and his sister Kanishia Santos as guest performers.

After launching  his eponymous album under Star Music, teen singer LA Santos headlines a solo concert at the Music Museum tonight.

“The concert will have big surprises including a duet with my guest performers. I will open the show with a Bruno Mars medley and then I will perform mostly OPM songs and danceable songs throughout the concert,” LA said.

#Petmalu is presented by J.E.D.I. (Joed Entertainment Department Incorporated) of Joed Serrano and Dream Wings Production, Inc.  with Iean Iñigo as musical director.

“We are launching a new artist here. This concert is not just a show but an avenue to make LA’s dream come true. Also this show is also a benefit concert. Proceeds will go to Cherish Life Foundation,” Serrano said adding that the show is almost sold out.

“Tito Boy Abunda told me about LA, he said, ‘Please look at LA’s video on YouTube and then tignan mo, napaka-special ng batang iyan.’ So, I saw the video “Tinamaan,” I wasn’t convince at first but when I saw his version of Moira dela Torre’s  “Titibo-Tibo,” from there, roon ko naintindihan ang sinasabi ni Tito Boy,” Serrano added explaining how he started believing in LA’s talent.

“Tinamaan” is one of the singles in his self-titled album released last year.  The song is an original composed by Jonathan Manalo. The record also includes another original called “One Greatest Love,” composed by Joel Mendoza.
