OPPO, a global leader in smartphone, expects to capture at least 20 percent of the Philippine market share this year with the launching of a new flagship model.
“Based on the data that we are seeing and our own analysis we are growing, we are hoping that we will be able to continuously increase our market share in the Philippines. We will see another between 3 to 5 percent market share. Right now, based on our latest data we were having around 15 percent market share,” Garricky Hung, vice president of Philippine Oppo Mobile Technology Inc., said on the sidelines of the launching of Oppo F7.
“Hopefully, 20 percent of the market this year,” he added.
Hung said Oppo ranked as the number two leading mobile phone providers in the Philippines in terms of international brand over the last three years. Samsung is the number one mobile phone provider in the Philippines.
OPPO Philippines public relations manager Eason de Guzman said the number of pre-orders of F7 reached 25,133 units as of April 19 this year.
