For the second time, he beat Chen Hsiang-Hsuan of Chinese Taipei in the gold medal shoot-off, 10-9.

The shootoff took place after Dela Cruz, a bronze medallist in the 2014 Asian Games, and Chen were tied at 143.

In getting to the finals with Chen, he also outpointed two Chinese Taipei archers.

First, he topped Pan Yu Ping in the second round, 144-140, before outplaying Lin Hsin-Min in the quarterfinals.

Then, he got past Aman Saini of India, 148-146, in the semifinal round.

Last Friday, Dela Cruz captured his first gold in the individual men’s compound qualification.

This gave him the top seeding and a first-round bye in the Olympic round.

Dela Cruz finished with a score of 704 score.
