You can now talk to your fridge and ask for news and weather updates, as Samsung introduces its next generation of Family Hub refrigerator with more and smarter features.
The 2018 Family Hub keeps family more connected and organized with Bixby voice command, which can recognize individual voices and provide personalized information based on preferences.
Ask “Hi Bixby, what’s new today?” and it will provide a read out of the news, weather, and calendar updates specifically tailored to the user.
In addition, the smart fridge also features the SmartThings app that seamlessly connects the Family Hub with Samsung and third party compatible connected devices. Aside from seeing what’s inside their fridge from the grocery store or leaving a note on the White Board to remind the kids to clean their rooms after school, users can now do countless other things without ever leaving the kitchen, including seeing who is at the front door when the doorbell rings.
Take food management to a more personalized level with Meal Planner which provides recipes for the family based on food preferences, dietary restrictions, and food expirations dates. You can also easily see inside the fridge from anywhere with the View Inside App, and add items to the Shopping List or put tags for reminders and expiration dates.
Who says you can’t have fun while in the kitchen when the Family Hub lets you access millions of songs through live radio apps, mirror your Samsung Smart TV, and stream content from your smartphones.
The latest model of Samsung Family Hub refrigerator will be first rolled out in Australia and New Zealand.
