THE oil companies on Thursday cut the price of cooking gas by as much as P3.18 per kilo or P34.98 per 11-kilogram tank.
They also cut the price of autoLPG by P1.75 per liter.
“Petron will implement a P3.15/kg [cut] in Gasul and Fiesta Gas prices effective 12:01 a.m., on February 1,” the company said in its advisory.
“We will likewise decrease Xtend AutoLPG [prices] by P1.75/liter at the same time. These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of February.”
Isla Petroleum, which sells the Solane brand of LPG, also announced that it cut the price of its products P3.18 per kilogram inclusive of the value-added tax effective at 6 a.m. on Feb 1.
On Tuesday, the oil firms raised the price of diesel and kerosene by P0.50 per liter, respectively, and gasoline by P0.45 per liter”•the fifth consecutive price increase for the year.
On Jan. 23, the oil firms also raised the price of diesel and kerosene by P0.50 per liter and gasoline by P0.35 per liter.
