Mayon has emitted lava and ash plumes anew as early as 6 am today.

The ash cloud reached up to three kilometers in height from the crater.

Cloudy skies currently cover the summit of the volcano.

Phillipine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) Director Renato Solidum says, if Mayon's eruptions are intermittent, like what is happening now, its restiveness may last for a month.

But if it will spew lava and ash four to five times a day, its volanic activities may be over in about two weeks.

Meanwhile, the problem of congestion confronts the evacuees in Albay.

The Provincial Health Department says, many of them are suffering from cold and cough and measles.

The number of evacuees has reached 76,757.

The figure is expected to go up as more residents within Mayon's 8-kilometer danger zone leave their homes.
