The Gabriela Party-list made its petition through Rep. Emmi De Jesus and the Association for the Rights of Children in Southeast Asia.

Gabriela on Friday also filed before the Ombudsman graft charges against former President Benigno Aquino III and his Cabinet secretaries over the P3.5-billion dengue vaccination program.

Charged with Aquino were former Health Secretary Janette Garin, former Budget secretary Butch Abad and former executive secretary Paquito Ochoa.

It was the second complaint filed against Aquino and his former officials in connection with the dengue vaccination controversy involving the French drug maker Sanofi Pasteur’s Dengvaxia.

Gabriela said the Health and Interior departments should monitor the children in all villages and regions who were injected with the vaccine.

The group said these departments should also provide free services including, but not limited to, medical check-ups, consultations, medical treatment and blood tests.

The group said fee medical services should continue until it was determined that the threats brought by the Dengvaxia vaccine had been minimized or eliminated.

Gabriela also asked the high court to order the Health, Education and Interior departments to create a registry of children who were administered with the vaccine to facilitate the delivery of free health care services to them.
