All towns in Eastern Samar are affected by floods due to continuous heavy rains brought by tropical storm Urduja.
Levi Nicart from Eastern Samar Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reports, heavy rains have been pouring over the province since yesterday.
Weather bureau PAGASA says, this condition will go on as the storm is expected to make landfall between Northern and Eastern Samar on Saturday morning or afternoon.
Meanwhile, about 7,000 passengers are stranded in several ports in Bicol and Visayas.
In Matnog port, around 382 individuals are waiting to take boat rides.
About 300 passengers are stranded in Tabaco Port.
In Leyte, the provincial government has suspended classes from kindergarten up to high school due to heavy rains.
