ABS-CBN still the most child-friendly TV network with 63 Anak TV awards

The Kapamilya network nabbed 63 Anak TV awards for its child-friendly programs and personalities, including four Kapamilya stars elevated to the Anak TV’s Makabata Hall of Fame, including ABS-CBN chief content officer and MMK host Charo Santos-Concio, along with Piolo Pascual, Anne Curtis, and Sharon Cuneta, voted Makabata Stars for seven years.

Other Kapamilya stars who were named as this year’s Male and Female Makabata Stars include Bea Alonzo, Noli de Castro, Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano, Julia Barretto, Daniel Padilla, Lea Salonga, Robi Domingo, Julia Montes, Joshua Garcia, Ian Veneracion, Anthony Taberna, Sylvia Sanchez, Susan Roces, Yassi Pressman, and Pia Wurtzbach.

Six Kapamilya programs also made it on the list of top 10 household favorite TV programs including FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, La Luna Sangre, Maalaala Mo Kaya, It’s Showtime, Matanglawin, and TV Patrol.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN hit programs that earned the coveted Anak TV Seal were A Love to Last, Be My Lady, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Home Sweetie Home, Langit Lupa, Maalala Mo Kaya, Magandang Buhay, Matanglawin, My Dear Heart, Oyayi, Salamat Dok, Superbook, The Greatest Love, Umagang Kay Ganda, Wansapanataym, and Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids.

ABS-CBN Regional programs were also bestowed with the Anak TV Seal including  TV Patrol Negros (Bacolod), TV Patrol North Central Luzon, TV Patrol Northern Luzon (Baguio), Agri Tayo Dito, Buntag Mindanao, Mag TV De Aton Este (Zamboanga), Mag TV Na (Cebu), Mag TV Na, Magnegosyo Ta (Davao), Mag TV Na Amiga (Bacolod), Mag TV Na Atin To (Baguio), Mag TV Na Oragon, Magandang Umaga South Central Mindanao, Marhay Na Aga Kapamilya, Naimbag nga Morning Kapamilya (Baguio), and Salandigan (Bacolod).

Anak TV Seal awardees were chosen by jurors composed of parents, teachers, NGOs, and other sectors of society on television programs. The iconic Anak TV Seal is given by the Anak TV Foundation, which advocates “television literacy and pushes the agenda for child-sensitive, family-friendly television in the Philippines.”
