AdmitAll, Union Bank introduce Smart ID

AdmitAll, a user-friendly platform that aims to bridge the gap between schools and students, and Union Bank of the Philippines signed a partnership deal to launch the Smart ID, an all-in-one ID card.

The AdmitAll Smart ID functions both as a debit card and university ID card for students. It aims to teach the Filipino youth about handling their money and building their personal economy at an early age.

“The AdmitAll Smart ID is part of our thrust to make Filipino students learn the value of saving and investing in their personal economy even while still in school. With the Smart ID innovation, they can be taught how to manage their finances so students can prepare for an even brighter future,” said Christian Schweigler, chief executive officer of AdmitAll.

Schweigler noted that most Filipino youth still did not have bank accounts and that the words “savings” and “financial management” were still rare to them. While some already have bank accounts, it’s either their parents opened up one for them or they earn it during their first employment. They hope to change that mindset with the introduction of the AdmitAll Smart ID.

The AdmitAll Smart ID is an EON card from the Union Bank of the Philippines, one of the country’s leading financial institutions. It allows personal or school-related purchases, cashless payment of tuition and other necessities. There is no minimum deposit required and it also comes with PayPal accessibility. One also load it up just like a piggy bank, only electronically, while allowing one to track transactions safely and securely.
