Surgeons have reattached the arm of the woman who figured in an accident at the Metro Rail Transit – 3 (MRT-3) Ayala Station in Makati City yesterday afternoon.
Doctors of Makati Medical Center operated on Angeline Fernando's rignt arm at 3:45 am on Wednesday.
Her bones, nerves and blood vessels have also been reconnected.
Angeline will be under observation at least until Friday.
This update came from Department of Transportation Undersecretary Cesar Chavez.
Angeline was standing on the northbound platform of the MRT when she felt dizzy and fell on the railway tracks.
Her arm was caught in between the first and second train cars.
Chavez gathered from Angeline's mother Gloria that the victim experiences fainting spells due to low blood.
He said MRT-3 management will provide financial assistance to Angeline to help her pay her medical bills.
