In its commitment to improve the public’s access to the government and bring services closer to communities, the city government of Muntinlupa expanded its offices with the opening of Plaza Central in Poblacion.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi and other local government officials led theinauguration of the three-storey extension building costing P101.5 million last Oct. 6.
Plaza Central will be housing the Cultural and Tourism Development Office, Muntinlupa Scholarship Program Office, Joint Resources Financing Program Office (Dagdag Puhunan), City Library, Public Order and Safety Office, Boy Scout of the Philippines Muntinlupa Chapter, and Colegio de Muntinlupa extension office.
The area where Plaza Central stands used to be the site of Muntinlupa’s old municipal hall (Contessa Building). Living up to its name, the area has been the convergence for the people of the city.
Fresnedi vows to continue developing avenues and LGU programs that make the government more accessible to the public.
