The Northern Police District has assigned some 300 policemen at the Caloocan City Police Station Friday morning.
NPD Director Amando Empiso briefed the policemen during the send-off ceremony from the four police stations in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela as part of the reshuffle.
"The reassignment is a matter of policy, any PNP personnel regardless of ranks can be reassigned anywhere in the country," Empiso said.
The 300 new policemen were assigned to the different Police Community Precincts.
Last week, National Capital Region Police Office Director Oscar Albayalde ordered the relief of 62 policemen in Caloocan for involvement in several incidents, including the controversial deaths of minors Kian delos Santos, 17; Carl Angelo Arnaiz, 19 and Reynaldo de Guzman, 14.
He said responsible policemen from the NCRPO will be assigned to the Caloocan police.
Around 1,000 NPD policemen will undergo retraining and orientation before they will be assigned to other police stations.
