ERICK Kibiwott Chepsiror successfully defended his title in the 21k Men’s Category at the Manila Bay Clean-Up Run, even as soldier Allene Tolentino won the women’s category.
Chepsiror was joined by fellow Kenyans Alex Melly and Jackson Chirchir, who placed second and third in the 21k Men’s Category respectively, while Lanny Cardona grabbed second place and Jho-An Banayag-Villarma placed third in the women’s category.
Top finishers in the 10K men’s division were Junel Gobotia (1st), Reynold Villafrancia (2nd), and Rowel Galveto (3rd); 10K women’s division: Luisa Raterta (1st), April Rose Diaz (2nd), and Lorely Magalona (3rd).
Placing in the top three for the 5K races were : Kurt Jomar Lamparas (1st), James Orduna (2nd), and Gilbert Rotaque (3rd) for the men’s division, while the women’s race was dominated by Maria Lyca Sarmiento (1st), Joice Gagnao (2nd), and Rica Moreno (3rd).
In the 3K race, Aris Afrila emerged champion, followed by Nicko Cortez in second place, and Michael Icao in third.
For the women, Luvelyn Pamatian took the top spot, followed by Marisol Amarga in second, and Mary Ann Perez in third.
