Araneta Center, in partnership with the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), is holding a series of activities today dedicated to our lives’ biggest MVPs – our fathers.
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., PBA MVP star Johnny “The flying A” Abarrientos, and four-time PBA MVP Alvin “The Captain” Patrimonio will be available for fan meet at the Gateway Mall Activity Area. Event registrants will have the chance to play a 3-on-3 basketball shootout with the two as well.
Another PBA MVP dad, San Miguel Beer’s Arwind Santos, will also be on hand for a meet-and-greet and another shooting game with the dads and basketball fans.
Called “My Dad is my MVP Father’s Day Celebration,” the event is centered on kids recognizing their dads as key role models while growing up in a world filled with challenges. Guests in the event can bond over basketball-themed side activities like basketball shooting arcade care of Timezone, a basketball trick show by Buhay Bola, and other games where they could win special prizes.
Only lucky Facebook user, meanwhile, will have a chance to win six (6) tickets to the PBA commissioner’s Cup finals or the June 30 game at the Big Dome, as well as a group dinner from the Araneta Center. To qualify, FB fans must post a comment to Araneta Center’s “My Dad is my MVP” post to share why they consider their dads their MVP, and use the hashtag #MyAranetaDadStory. The winner will be announced on June 19.
