The first 1,000 skaters to register will get a limited-edition DC x Grind t-shirt, stickers, and other awesome merchandise along with their numbered bib.

To be strictly worn throughout the parade, the bib shall serve as one of the official proof for DC’s headcount. And at exactly 2:30pm, the skate parade will be all set to dominate the streets between Quirino Grandstand and Circuit Makati. Plus, sure to level up the game further is the addition of a giant skateboard float. Presented in partnership with Jeep, the giant skateboard will be pulled throughout the parade by one of the iconic car brand’s signature vehicles.

Skate to the limit

After the skate parade, a skateboarding competition hosted by DC, will be held at the Mountain Dew Skate Park in Circuit Makati. With registrations starting at 4:00pm, the categories for the Core Competition will include the first-ever DC invitational, Highest Ollie, Longest Gap, Best Grind, and Skate Submit, a contest which will give away an award to the skater with the best trick video.

Expected to be the biggest skate event of the year, adding another exciting edge to the event will be the arrival of DC Pro Skateboarders including Cyril Jackson, Chase Webb, and Alex Lawton – all of whom will be flying into Manila to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day with a skate demo and free skate session.
